About Me

I'm a museum curator, historian and author. For the last decade I've been reseaching and writing about the history of the Eighth US Army Air Force in the Second World War.

When I'm not in the world of museums, I love nothing more than delving into the archives and unearthing hidden histories. Through my research, I've helped throw light on a range of subjects, from old country manor houses to long-lost ancestors. I've also worked as a researcher for television, including seven episodes of the Smithsonian Channel's 'Air Warriors'. My first children's book, 'Tales of World War Two' was released in October 2023 by Neon Squid (an imprint of Macmillan). 'How to Fly a Spitfire' (Quarto) is due for publication in April 2026, swiftly followed by 'Welcome to Little America: Life and Death on the bomber bases of the Eighth Air Force' (The History Press) in August 2026.
